finishing up

What I planned to be an August birthday gift, will now be a Christmas gift instead.

I am all about the seasonal decorations!!-must be the teacher in me.
I made a few things in the last few weeks for my little nature bowl at home.
You can find the oak leaf pattern on ravelry and I just needle felted the acorns.

feeling blessed

tonight I am sitting here feeling very blessed.
I am thankful for the job I have.
I am thankful that I get to spend my days doing something I love.
I am thankful for a good school for my children to go to and especially for all of the loving teachers.

Tonight was our school's fall concert/open house and I am feeling overwhelmed with gratitude.

I finished my coraline the beginning of Oct, but just got around to taking a picture.
I wanted to make this one more of a vest than a sweater and didn't quite have enough yarn to make it long sleeved. I really enjoyed this pattern and think I will make it again in an earthy wool green.
