My fellow classmate Chris dyed the purple yarn and I was excited to knit my first gnome couple.

These shelves hold a few of my favorite things
1. mouse pin cushion (bought on etsy)
2. sewing can (wanted to put my sewing supplies in a can like my mom always did)
3. photo of my trailer (where I spend all of my summers in the country)

7. photo of Jesus that I cut out of church bulletin when I was a child. It was always hanging on a bulletin board next to the back door of the house I grew up in.
(after my parents died, I had to go and take it off and keep it).

I love the "old school" way of collecting valentines(in a decorated shoe box) so that is what I did with my class.

I designed these to sell in my etsy store.
I think they turned out pretty great!
There is a blizzard outside, school is canceled for tomorrow, and I might just have to start another pair.

I made another pair of blender socks for my friend Andrea.
She loves wool socks, and this pattern is so great for using up scraps.

The purple I made for Squirrel and the white one(snow baby) I made for fun.I haven't quite decided what to do with it yet, but I just might have to keep it.
I love knitting the doll bodies for these-they knit up fairly quickly and are just adorable.

I do not enjoy doing laundry at ALL! But I must admit, last week when I was pulling my clothes out of the washing machine, I had such a great sense of accomplishment-I was pulling out of the machine our families collection of hand knit socks, hand knit dishcloths & slippers that I had made over the years.
This time of year I love pulling out the wool socks-my husband by far owns the most pairs, and I will continue to make them for him because he Loves them. He is one of those guys who never asks for anything for himself- one thing he does love, are the knitted socks made by me. HOw can a girl say no to that?

ANd how can that same girl, who has made so many socks, abandon these wrist warmers that were started in 2008?-I stopped after the first one!!

My January goal is to finish the other wrist warmer.
