ahhhhhh a weekend in the country

I don't have a garden in Chicago-but I do have a patch of Iris flowers that are guaranteed to make the neighbors jealous.

My friends came to my classroom to talk about New Zealand today.
(looking at a sting raye skeleton).
Then I took the kids outside and we played in the rain.....

we went to Mixteco on Saturday night it was wonderful!!!

look what I got for my birthday

I turned the big 35 last week.
I was spoiled rotten-
and then I had the chance to escape the city and go to the country.

and....all of my presents were knitting related.
gosh, 35 is starting off to be a good year.
